The Minister for Posts and Telecommunications said, while standing on the ruins of the war to spread technical education, highlighted the initiatives taken by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and added that Bangladesh lagged behind the world of technology for 324 years by missing the last two industrial revolutions. In order to ensure participation in the Third Industrial Revolution or Internet Industrial Revolution which started in 1969, Bangabandhu got membership of ITU and UPU, establishment of satellite ground station at Betbunia, formation of T&T board, nationalization of primary education, he thus laid the foundation for participation in the Third Industrial Revolution by taking various programs like expansion of technical education. But after the assassination of Bangabandhu and his family in the unfortunate nineteen seventy-five killing, the journey to take part in the third industrial revolution came to a standstill. After the Awami League came to power in 1996, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina overcame all the anti-development efforts left behind by the defeated forces with 21 years of backwardness. Mostafa Jabbar, a pioneer of the movement for the development of digital technology, mentioned that the revolutionary changes in the development of internet and computer technology were initiated through various groundbreaking programs. Mostafa Jabbar, the inventor of Bengali language in digital technology, mentioned that in the last 13 years, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh has achieved leadership ability in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Highlighting the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and his long experience of 35 years in the field of digital technology, the Minister said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced the Digital Bangladesh program on 12 December 2008, eight years before the announcement of the concept of the fourth industrial revolution in the world in 2016. In our socio-economic context, we should not look at the way the developed world sees us in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In the developed world, digital technology will replace people. Considering our huge population, the idea of replacing the machine with human would not be acceptable. This pioneer of digital transformation in education mentioned that we have to face the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution in the midst of digital Bangladesh revolution. In his speech, the Vice Chancellor of BUET stressed on the need to use digital technology as a tool to establish Bangabandhu's Sonar Bangla.
